Every 45 minutes one man dies from it, that's more than 11,500 men every year. It also means that 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

Our founder Luke Newman set up ‘For Men To Talk’ in December 2019 because he has suffered from paranoia and anxiety issues, depression and been on anti-depressants for a number of years.

But he feels fortunate that he can open up about his mental health problems, he knows a lot of men aren’t.

It isn't because is unhappy, he is so very happy with family and friends. But it's to work on the losses, such as his Mum and Sister that he has suffered in his life.

He has been so fortunate to be around supportive people and sort therapy, counselling and medication. So if you know or are someone who is suffering from depression, TALK TO SOMEONE, family, friends, doctors, counsellors, anyone, just please TALK TO SOMEONE.

... and ‘For Men To Talk’ are always there too.

Congratulations Teddy Duff

Here at ‘For Men To Talk’ we would like to congratulate 12-year-old Teddy Duff who today stood up in front of 130 kids at his school and talk about his struggles with anxiety, which he has suffered with over the past year. Such a courageous and inspiring young man.

Our founder Luke had Reiki at Sapphire Hair And Beauty Academy today.

His feedback was “As I seem to run around at 100 miles at times and suffer from anxiety I realised that I needed to relax. For the hour, Reiki removed chaotic thoughts from my mind and replaced them with a sense of calm and mindfulness, relieving my stress and anxiety. I have felt great all day ever since. Thank you to Hazel and her team. I would highly recommend it.”

Sapphire Hair and Beauty Academy are offering a 20% discount to any man who attended the first group session in February.
