After Paul Lavelle sadly lost his life in a domestic abuse incident in 2017, friends and family came together to create ‘The Paul Lavelle Foundation’ to raise awareness of male domestic abuse through sharing Paul’s story and campaigning to remove the stigma male victims face.
They support male victims/survivors offering virtual, online and telephone advice and advocacy or face-to-face appointments in the community space: The Men’s Hub.
They run weekly running, cycling and swimming groups to promote positive mental health to help with isolation, improve physical health and raise aspirations with like-minded individuals in a safe place.
They also provide healthy relationship education as a preventative measure in schools and colleges as well as fund-raising activities based around sports, activities and family fun.
